Day 296 Trip to the vet

So the diarrhea fun colors are not so fun after all. I feel tired and I have a tummy ache. Jen took me to the vet.
Not too impressed by this place
The vet said I probably had a virus, because in this same week, 25 other dogs showed up with the same symptoms.
I know this table!
It's the same they have at school and where Jen and her classmates
\palpate, poke and test me!
The vet injected me with antibiotics. Antibiotics are against bacteria, not viruses though. When I asked Jen about this, she said it's to prevent further complications, because the virus is lowering my immune system, therefore I am more susceptible to a secondary bacterial infection. I said I'd risk it.
Jen sighed. She said it's probably a case of 14 days of illness with treatment, or 2 weeks without.

Day 294 Autumn colors

Yesterday Jen was all happy from all the bright yellow leaves in the park. On an unrelated note I made bright yellow diarrhea. Surprisingly, Jen wasn't that happy.

So Lenka called Jen to pick me up early from my school today, and if I don't get better we'll go see the vet. Weee day off!
Jen didn't believe at first that the diarrhea probably wasn't from an infectious cause and thought I stole Diane's food (I'd never do that, I am an angel...), but decided to keep me with her a couple days, just to be sure. We went playing in the park. It's been a long time since we've had the opportunity to go by daytime, because the days are so short that by the time Jen picks me up from school it's often sunset already!
I found a man to play fetch (because Jen is picky with fetch, I have to give  her the stick/object precisely in her hand while other people don't care if I spit it out at their feet)
I made a new friend, his name is Bastien. He is a one year old ridgeback. We met him in the morning...

And in the afternoon again! Every walk to the park coincided with his!

Fun day, I hope Jen will keep me home again tomorrow!

Day 291 Diane's visits

Every weekend or so, we get to see Diane and her dad.

Diane used to be darker when she was young, but now she is mostly brown. She still has black around the eyes as if she wears make up, a black mouth as if she ate a ton of dark chocolate and a black saddle as if she was a horse.
Diane's big head she likes to stick in the middle of stuff
I used to be black too. But now I am still black. Quite sleek if you ask me.
Diane, Molly and I
I like playing with Diane. I like messing with her too. She's big and strong enough for me to try to bully her without Jen stopping me. So I try doing that, but not all my tricks work on Diane. And she doesn't seem to care much and calls me a kid, which I don't like, and then I try to annoy her even more.

Jen and Jan are spending a lot of time together. It's good for Jen's Czech, and it's good because then I have a friend. Win-win situation!

Jan and Dajan, out for a drink
Why does Dajan get a classy harness, and me a flashy coat?

Day 289 Poor abused me

I think I grew. I remember the time when people used to pick me up to go up stairs or to sit on laps. Today I tried again.
This didn't work like I thought it would

Even Sherryl is not so comfortable

Sometimes in the park there is a car. It's a police car and they check around that dogs have a leash or muzzle, and make people pay money if they don't. But today I saw a baby car in the park.

I would have hunted it, but it seemed that a guy with a controller in his hands had already claimed it as prey, as he watched it very intensely and followed it where it went.
Anyway, it didn't seem it had much meat on it, it's better for them to let them grow until the size of a big cat and then maybe hunt them, I suppose....

We went to class. It was about legislation. It was about animal rights. Jen said I should pay attention, it concerns me. Bleh, she underestimates my cuteness factor, when I give my cute look, no-one would dare mistreat me!
Mistreated look: how could you dare make me work
when the park is right behind us!
Abuse? This class is abuse! I'm bored!
I did pay attention on to what to do when witnessing animal abuse. Next time Jennifer doesn't want to play ball with me when it's clearly something I need, I think I'll call the animal police, ha!
