RIP Kiwi

Kiwi didn't eat for 2 days.
Started vomiting.
Lost so much weight bones were showing.
Was happy though and still had energy.
Temperature and heart rate were ok.
Went to the vet.
Did an Xray.
Did an echography.
Did a laparotomy.
The problem is that the intestine is not transitting food.
No exact cause to the problem.
No obstruction.
Maybe bacteria, maybe virus, maybe tumor.
Kiwi became very weak.
She got treatment.
Fluids.
Painkillers.
Prokinetics.
Antibiotics.
Ulcer prevention.
Anti-nausea.
Anti-emetic.
Became very weak.
Refused water.
Refused everything.
Losing temperature.
Placed next to warm bottles.
Force fed treatments.
Became lethargic.
Like that for a day and a half.
Started panting.
Became rigid.
Still breathing.
Stopped breathing.

She's burried at the entrance of the forest, at a place she would always pull on the leash to go check out, and I would always pull her away from.

Day 171 Have a nice summer!

Things I will miss...

Annoying the Kiwi

Wrestling, pulling and chasing my doggy friends
Above all... dealing with my silly mom Jen!

But I will be back soon, see you after summer vacation is over! Goodbye everyone! Have a nice summer!!!
Summer... I am ready to go!!!

Day 170 Preparations for summer

I am comfortable and happy to see dogs once again. I got back to playing my favorite games around them :)

Taunting dog with stick and get hunted

Playing tag
Training humans to play fetch with me
(so I can show other dogs how much better I am at it than them!)
This afternoon we went to town, so Jen could make her final preparations before she leaves to her home. We bought tickets at the train-station, paid the final summer bills, grabbed some food to make sandwiches and headed back home.

I won't be able to come with Jen this summer. She is quite bummed about it. Kiwi is quite happy that she will get the big foodbowl for herself (she doesn't realize I will get my foodbowl, not her!)

Final recommendation, be nice, have fun, but don't forget me!

Last day with Jen

Jen became extra-cuddly today (very embarrassing in front of Kiwi, who was laughing her head off!). Je-eeen, stop it!!!

Day 168 Socializing again and goodbye to Nicky

Today, Jen put the muzzle on me when we went to the park. I almost died. But because I wasn't really dying, I had to pretend I was.
Tell my friends I loved them.
Tell Kiwi she can have my pig toy.
RIP myself...
After a few minutes my act wasn't working well, so I went on with the walk grumpily. We met a few dogs, and I was stressed by their presence, but there wasn't much I could do, so I tolerated them. Kind of.

We saw Nicky and her mom, they are leaving today, going back to Israel.
Please take the muzzle off, at least for the goodbye picture?
In the afternoon, Jen went back to our usual studying spot in Kaunicovy Koleje.

I made a friend my size
And trained him to throw sticks for me!

And in the evening we went to Luzanky again, and we met other dogs. Again I had to tolerate them. After being some time accustomed to them, Jen took the muzzle off. It would look stupid for me to kick the dogs out of the park after being around them for an hour, so I let them be around us.

Day 167 Jen's back

Jen is back! She went to Bulgaria to see her friend's wedding.

So I spent a few days at Milan's and Ladka's house, with other dogs. The other dogs told me something that confused me: Apparently I am not the "bestest doggy". But Jen always says I am :(
They didn't let me be queen of the place, and they didn't let me decided of all rules. Wow that was surprising!
So happy to be back!

Jen and I went to the park as usual.
I didn't like it. I didn't like dogs getting close to Jen. I didn't like dogs going around taunting me. I didn't like dogs running and prancing around. I didn't like dogs playing with sticks. I didn't like dogs who weren't doing anything. In short: I didn't like any dog.

You make one step more and you're toast!
Benny looks really threatening, why is Jen not letting me defend her?
And I made sure they knew that. I went up to them, made myself as big as possible with my hair up, and pinned them to the floor. If they disagreed, and growled until they did. Maybe in some places I can't decide of the rules, but here in Luzanky park: my place, my rules! (and the rules are quite simple: if you're a dog, go away, if you're a human, throw me a stick)

Jen was really sad, and asked where puppy Mety had gone. I am here, I was doing this for her! :(
I fended off all the dogs, and brought Jen these pine cones instead!
