Day 92 Prague

Today was auntie Renee's birthday, so we went on a day trip to Prague. Why she would not prefer 100 balls from Tesco is beyond me, but I didn't bug her with that.
At the trainstation
We went with of course Bella, Griffin and Nicky and their respective moms. 4 dogs and 4 people!
Auntie Marianne being ridiculously photogenic
Arriving in Prague there were so many people and their smells! (I say that in a good way, when Jen says that same sentence, she usually has a grumpy look) Anyway I got soooo sooo excited! Jen said this would not do, so the absolute first thing we did was go to the park to relieve a bit of my energy. She said she'd hope the heat would tire me, haha how naive!

I said let's race! Jen said heel  -_-
Park is more fun then!
After sightseeing for approximately 12 min, Jen and her friends declared they were tired and we sat down for ice cream and cold coffee. I wanted coffee too!

But Jen wouldn't give me. She showed me a book where it documents how this big guy called Obelix fell in a cauldron when he was a baby, and since then has super energy! She suspects something similar happened to me!

Eventually we got up to walk a bit more in the city. Jen was a bit scared of pickpockets, so she put all her valuables in her pocket on the side I walk on. I was a proud bodyguard, and when anyone came too close I overpowered them with my cuteness looks!
Jen and I with the famous clock

Prague is a city where a lot of people like to sell things. A bit like Brno, but here they are smarter they double the prices for the same things.
We found a lady selling beautiful pictures of animals.
No need to say, with 4 vet student moms we spent an hour in that spot.
We went to a restaurant in the evening. The people there were so nice and they had prepared a bowl of water for each of us dogs. But that was human logic. Dog logic is drink a bit in each bowl to see which one tastes better. And the best water is usually in the bowl that the other dog is drinking in, so we end up all drinking from the same waterbowl!
In the evening we went to walk on the famous Charles bridge. The bridge was quite nice, Charles must be some kind of famous architect!
Charles was probably a tall guy, I can barely see above the bridge!

All of us on the bridge

Jen was becoming exceedingly slow, and I was tired of pulling her, so I released her by the water so I could run back and forth while she rests.
Griffin was running in the front. So I decided to follow him. And Marianne decided to follow me. And Jen decided to follow her. Bella and Nicky brought up the rear. And all the merry group of us followed each other through the bushes near the water for a jolly 10 minutes!
(and then we got to a dead end, Bella and Nicky blamed me, I blamed the Griffin, and the Griffin said he knew it was a dead end all along but he had seen a cool fish in the water!)

I really liked Prague! However there were a lot more people than in Brno, so it made my job more difficult. Jen said I went a bit backwards in my forward progress...

Day 90 Water

Lecture of something
Today was a warm day again, so after school we went to the park with Griffin. Griffin has many food allergies so he cannot eat most types of meat. When he stayed over, he showed me that his kibble was fish-based.
Griffin and his mom discussing fishing

Griffin likes to splash in the water for fish. It looked like fun so I joined in...

That's when I heard a tornado behind me "NOTINTHEWATERNOOOOGETOUTGETOUTIMMEDIATELYYOUBADDOG!" Jen grabbed me out in a second and made me lay/stay.

She got really unhappy about water parasite, drowning blind people and something about yesterday's spot-on product against fleas that would be inefficient and I'd get lyme disease (talk about over-reacting geeze)...

Punishment: having an embarrassing mom...
In the park people do all sorts of things. They juggle balls that I am not allowed to steal, throw to each other frisbees I am not allowed to steal, eat picnics I am not allowed to steal...
I'm beginning to think humans' lives are all about annoying us dogs!
Here people are playing music...
that I am not allowed to join in on! :(

We met Sunny, who is also going to be a guide dog. He will start working in 2 weeks!

Day 89 Jen's mean tricks

Here I used Jen's attention to the camera to try to eat the packaging
Today Jen gave me again some kind of product against some small animals (ticks and fleas). Most useless thing ever! I think we need a product against alligators and crocodiles, those are more dangerous.

Jen thought a while, then replied that the most efficient way against those is to give mommies lots of love.
I am suspicious she is trying to trick me, but I must admit, every day I give her kisses, and so far there are no alligators or crocodiles. Maybe Jen is right?!

Jen seems nice but...
I don't want to say bad stuff about Jen, but I must admit I don't always trust her anymore! She likes to trick me often. Here are some examples:

Sometimes she throws the ball, but then when I look she actually didn't throw it (mean Jen!).
Just throw it already!
Sometimes in the morning her alarm clock rings, she sits up and stretches. I get very happy and excited we are getting up! And then... and then Jen turns the alarm off and goes back to sleep! :(

Other times in the day, she gets me excited to go to the park, we get ready and go...and 30 seconds later we come back! (to get the wallet)
So then we leave again... 30 seconds later we come back again (for a supposed phone).
So then we leave again... 30 seconds later we come back again (for a lab coat or a stethoscope).
How mean is that?!!

Some days she takes me to school to have a fun day, and then I get used as patient of the day!

And finally she likes to trick me into being good. Exactly in the moments I want to express my opinion most (=bark) she usually has a yummy treat ready and stuffs it in my mouth. I am a polite dog, and I won't talk while I am chewing.

And when I finish chewing I forgot what I wanted to say!

Day 86 Ikea and Tesco fun

Today I went to Ikea to get myself a long cushion and a new toy.
There was a smaller hard pillow or a longer soft one. I voted for the longer one as it will be more useful in a pillow fight.

As for the toy, I was very strategical. Jen makes me put away my toys at the end of the day. So I chose one that I can camouflage in the kitchen!
And here the ball that matches the kitchen floor!
Home with my new toy!

This reminds me by the way.
Yesterday I went to Tesco, and I found the funnest toy!!
A ball pit!!! And hundreds of balls! I was in paradise! Jen had to remind me I was working though, so not allowed to play... But now I know what I am asking for on my birthday!

Mety on Akce, very funny Jen

Day 83 Blansko

I had a bad day.

Jen totally ditched me to go see that stupid "Dajan" dog. That dog jumped on Jen, and Jen didn't even complain, but I did notice she was almost crying, so I stepped in to defend her with a big growl. That dog gave me a lick and paid no further attention to me. Jen made me lay to the side. She was all over the dog, petting and hugging her. I was confused.

Curious thing: I know that dog's smell. It's was all over my bed when I arrived for the first time at Jen's, and some of the toys have it too.

Not only does she get all the attention, but also had my toys first? That's it, I hate that dog!
Retrieving a leash
Jen read the blog and is making me apologize for writing "stupid Dajan".
She also apologized herself to me, saying that next time she won't take me, or if she does that she would let me meet Dajan off leash so we could play and I could get to know her. She says Dajan is awesome and she's sure we could get along. I say I don't care anyway.
I also know how to retrieve, and stuff more fun than leashes!

Day 81 The garden

The garden in early afternoon

There is a square of dirt outside in the garden that I am not allowed to jump or run in, no matter what, not even if Kiwi sneaks in or a ball falls there. And what did Jen do this afternoon?? She spent most of the time IN the square :( Not fair!

Jen and I in the garden
Watering a Mety, maybe I will grow bigger?

Jen said she will plant things in this patch of garden! Things such as... food!
Weee I was very happy! But she said she would plant lettuce, radishes and tomatoes.
Flowers, vegetables and herbs. Bleh!
What?! :( I am tired of her eating always fruit or vegetables! I begged her to plant some meat, maybe chicken?! I can bring her an egg from the fridge!

Kiwi wanted to come and help.
But she mostly digs up things, and Jen kicked her out! (or actually we were out so she kicked her back in).

The weather is so nice, that there are plenty of dogs in the park! And most of the dogs are from veterinary students!
Liska, Lily, Tarzan, Bamba, Izzy, Kira, me and a random french bulldog

Here I'll post soon a video of some of the dogs I played with this month!

Day 80 Late post

Humans have a little game. There are machines in town that spit out little pieces of paper called money. Humans like these papers. They make collections of them, and they give it to each other, demand it from each other, give it against food, fight for it...  Us dogs do the same but with sticks, and frankly our game is more interesting, we have big sticks, small sticks, nice sticks, tasty sticks, chewy sticks... human's papers all look the same to me, there is not much of a point to make a collection of them!

Anyway, Jennifer was late with giving some of these papers to the internet company, so the internet company was not happy and cut off the internet for 2 days.

Jen was happy because this forces her to study, but what will I do with the blog!

Today I am less sick, I only had breathing problems when I woke up, and they quickly disappeared. Jennifer is a bit sadistic, today we walked past a place with loud music, lights everywhere, big things moving and a crowd of humans. Aaah my head, I am starting to be sick again! Jen said this is called a fair, and I complained this was not fair!
Why would someone go on that?
(Jen said "let's get on that!)
After this we went to school for an andrology class about artificial insemination in horses (boring...) and in doggies (weee!!!).

My weeeee happiness turned more into an "uugggh" when they explained how they get the "insemination dose" and how they just put it in the female. Not romantic at all!

After class we went to see Atlas and Frankie.
Me, and tall Atlas and little Frankie!

They are the funniest pair because they are opposites! Tall and skinny, and the other small, stubby and long. They are nice guys, but I don't like it so much when they take my toys. OK fine, if you want to be technical, we were at their place so it was their toys. But remember Kiwi's wise words "finders keepers" so I picked a toy and ran.

Day 79 Goodbye Molly

Today Molly left. Jen made a big deal out of it, but I reassured her, they always come back after a few hours. Jen said, they wouldn't. They are leaving for some months until summer. Ah well the weather is nice, I bet summer is soon :)
Goodbye Molly! But I am keeping my toy!

Also today, I got sick. Jen said it was really cute, that when sister Molly left I was sick from sadness. I am not sick from sadness, I am sick because Jen took my bed when SHE was sick, and coughed and sneezed all over it!
Oh great Jen, NOW you leave me alone in my bed!

Day 78 Easter number 2

Jen says I am too competitive. This is what happened today.

  • Abbie the Border Collie said German shepherds are slow! I wanted to go wrestle her to the ground to make her admit she was wrong, but I couldn't catch up with her.
Racing Abbie

  • Nicky the Rottweiler said German shepherds are not very strong.
I told him what I though of his opinion
(a shocked Vizsla in the background)
We settled the matter over a tug of war

Well, he won the tug of war :(

Jen was nice, she told me to look at it this way: German shepherds may be slower than Border collies, and weaker than rottweilers, but they are stronger than Border collies and faster than Rottweilers!

Great thinking! I wanted to go back to the rottweiler to race him but we had to hurry home to prepare for guests.

Remember how last week was Easter for Jennifer? Well this weekend was Easter for Stefani! In Cyprus, they are a bit slow and late about everything. Even their Easter apparently!

Anyway today around 20 Cypriot/Greek people came to eat celebrate Easter.

I had fun! I am ready for Easter every week!
